2nd – 27th August 2011, Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Ninth Life Theatre Company’s debut production is a bold and compelling new play by Christopher Birks and Robert Neumark-Jones. THE QUESTIONNAIRE, which embarks upon its first full run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011, is an adrenaline shot of new British writing. Darkly comic and brightly anarchic, the play follows one young man – confident and bursting with ideas – through a barrage of bizarre questions and unsettling realisations.

“Jack is arrogant. Jack is agitated. But Jack is alone. Barely an hour has passed since he was asked by a man on the street about his happiness, yet as he finds himself locked in an empty room he begins to suspect that his hosts have more than therapy in store for him… Having riled against society for so long, Jack is forced to ask himself whether knowledge alone is enough to break the shackles that modern life has cast upon him.”

Ninth Life are delighted to announce that ‘The Questionnaire’ will be previewed at the recently-transformed Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre, Stamford, Lincolnshire.

This one-night-only performance will be at 19.30 on 29th July and is made possible by the kind invitation and initiative of The Corn Exchange Theatre Company, who in unprecedented act of generosity will be donating 100% of the door money to the production.
